W 16 is a water bath for temperatures up to 95°C. The high-grade, stainless steel bath (106 mmØ x 100 mm) is built securely into a  special steel housing.

The temperature is controlled by a thermostat which is exact up to   +- 1,5 k and better.
A go-dry protection system prevents overheating when there is not enough water in the bath. Additional protection is provided by temperature fuse.

The low lying ring-set (Order No.-Nr. RI 17/E) enables the condensed water to drop back into the bath.

The W 16 also has a screw-in socket for a retort rod (Order No. ST 12).
